    Application Testing

*Overview- Client released a new application and needed a comprehensive set of cross device testing completed quickly and efficiently. The Problem- This client released an application and didn’t have the necessary resources to properly test in a real world environment across multiple devices, browsers and operating systems. The client required testing by someone without close ties to the product, who had extensive mobile application testing and could operate under a global delivery model.

*The Solution- COMSOFT worked closely with the client in creating an extensive mapping of software requirements and functional specifications in order to design in-depth test matrixes. A large amount of test cases were generated and tests were planned according to a strict schedule. All tests were performed under real world scenarios and were completely traceable for performance evaluation. Tests were done across multiple simulators, operating systems, devices, and browsers.

*Collaboration between COMSOFT and the client was essential in order to keep the client informed on all performance issues. Both COMSOFT and the client maintained a complete understanding of the testing process in order to quickly address any issues that arose during the testing phases. This two way communication helped expedite the testing phases as well as any repair phases.

*Client Benefits- Due to the collaboration and detailed planning, turnaround time was reduced for defect identification and resolution. The client was kept informed at all junctures to ensure the stringent deadlines were being met, and any testing issues were being reported, and fixed accordingly.

    Data Analysis and Reporting

*Overview- This client required a new data management system that would provide cleaner and more consistent customer data. Their current system was fragmented, slowing down information sharing between departments, and resulting in high percentages of data redundancies. A new system was implemented by COMSOFT designed to clean the current database, institute new input standards, increase information sharing, and ultimately improve the sales funnel. The new system was successful in providing clean, reliable data in a timely manner to the sales team, improving sales lead conversion timeframes.

*Client Problems- The current system in place for the client was a compilation of different data repositories with different procedural standards. The influx of inconsistent data into a non-unified data management system caused a severe percentage of redundancies. The lack of clean data hampered the sales and marketing organizations’ abilities to convert sales, track campaigns, and view the status of their customer database. In addition, buy-in for new data management systems were very low across the organization, adding another hurdle to implementing a new, consolidated data system.

*The Solution- COMSOFT implemented a multi-phased approach that included a “closed loop” reporting environment. This allowed for a unified data management system where data can be cleaned regularly and redundancies to be avoided. With the addition of analytical tools, the client was now able to both share information more efficiently, and monitor and track that information more closely. The demonstrated ease of use resulted in a high buy-in from across the organization.

*Client Benefits- The key aspect of this new system was timely access to clean data. In order for this client to reach their goals, they needed to see accurate data quickly, and be able to run the appropriate queries to monitor progress.

    Data Management

Overview- This client required a more efficient data analysis and reporting system in order to improve decision making. *The Problem- Due to a fragmented data repository, a holistic view of present data was unattainable. In order to run accurate data analysis, this client required a professional who could build and maintain a set of operational dashboards.

*The Solution- An COMSOFTprofessional was placed with this client, and was charged with creating dashboards across several different departments for increased reporting and visibility. Each of these dashboards required different data sources to be combined and cleaned, ensuring the proper data would be analyzed by the proper dashboard. These dashboards included:

Human Resources Analytics: identifying headcount trends, attrition rates, employee demographics, etc in order to provide insight into trends concerning hiring, terminations, and retention. -Finance Analytics: Advanced analytics in the area of bookings-to-revenue lifecycle; giving the client an accurate representation of the ordering process, backlogs, reserves, and billings in order to make inferences and trending projections for upcoming quarters.

Invoice Analytics: Invoicing specific analytics designed to flush out information throughout the invoicing lifecycle; such as policy violations, expenditures, supplier lists, etc. -Forecasting: Inference based analytics measuring planning, financial forecasting, expense data, cost center levels, account expenses, etc.

    Data Migration

*Overview- This client required a new data management system that would provide cleaner and more consistent customer data. Their current system was fragmented, slowing down information sharing between departments, and resulting in high percentages of data redundancies. A new system was implemented by COMSOFT designed to clean the current database, institute new input standards, increase information sharing, and ultimately improve the sales funnel. Data Warehousing

*The Problem- The current data warehouse utilized by this client was plagued by bad data. Redundancies, inconsistencies, and incorrect data were the result of using multiple data warehousing platforms throughout the organization. Because their data was unreliable, information sharing between departments was severely hampered. There were major delays in reporting and analysis, and ultimately, their marketing and sales organizations suffered.

*The Solution-COMSOFT created a singular data repository with advanced analytic capabilities to replace the systems currently in use by his client. All marketing and client data were unified under this system, allowing for the data to be cleaned of redundancies, inconsistencies and incorrect information. The organization was now able to gain an accurate view of their client data, including revenue, products, lines, bundles, touch points, repairs, troubles, dispatching, and provisioning. The added analytic capabilities provided accurate, real time reports for progress monitoring.

*Client Benefits- Real time reporting capabilities and reliable data allow this customer to monitor sales leads more closely. As a result, information sharing between the marketing and sales organizations increased and lead list creation underwent a dramatic time reduction. In addition, resources that were once being spent on data collection, data cleansing, data merging, and marketing analysis were re-allocated for efficiency. Decision making became quicker and easier, costs were reduced and resources were better allocated as a result of the new data warehousing system.

    Release/ Change Management

*Overview- Client required an individual who could manage portion of an application portfolio while interacting with users, business partners, and IT partners. The required position was multi-faceted, requiring a wide range of different skill sets, including application management, performance evaluations, and providing training.

*The Solution- An COMSOFT professional was placed with the client, and was tasked with several different responsibilities. These responsibilities included the management of a 150+ applications portfolio, enterprise wide support for those applications, providing impact analysis, release and change management for those applications, and provide analysis, performance assessments and training to stakeholders.

*Client Benefits- The client was provided an individual who not only managed a portfolio of business applications, but also executed performance analytic and provided training to others in the organization. This position required the individual to take a complete ownership of this portfolio, and overall client satisfaction was very high.
